Meridian Hill Park

16th Street between Euclid and W Streets NW, Washington, D.C.

Pros

This one park has multiple locations for photos that look different. It's a great park for efficiency.

Lots of shade if you have to take photos in full sun- like I had to for these sessions.

There is a water feature, but it was turned off the day we went. The architecture is beautiful with lots of leadings lines perfect for composition.

Ample parking available around the perimeter of the park and surrounding blocks.

Walking distance to cafes and food!

Cons

The park is not stroller/wheelchair accessible- even though there are ramps, there are curbs at the bottom, middle, and top of them.

There was presence of trash I wouldn't want around children. I had to crop most photos that I took on benches because the ground was so littered.

The squirrel, rat, and bird population was very... assertive when my children pulled out snacks.
